Lewis
Hess 
has been tattooing since August of 1993, starting with
Chris Rupp in Arizona and apprenticing at Alaska Tattoo. After working
in Alaska, Lewis moved to Phoenix and worked for Dale Orman at the Crawling
Squid. In August of 1996, Lewis moved to Portland, working for Atomic
Tattoos for a year before moving to Atlas Studios, where he has been working
for the last two years.
Lewis
attributes much of his inspiration and education to traveling to conventions
and being able to work with many great artists.
