Jacob Redmond was raised by a pack of coyotes in the Midwest off the Mississippi River. After selling his concession at the carnival and fleeing to the Georgian coast as a student of painting, he fell into the hands of bikers in 1979. To survive, he was forced into endless hours of military tattoos (and UFC fighting), thus learning the techniques of the trade quickly. Many moons later, the renaissance man explored the four corners of the U.S., acquiring more knowledge of the arts and tattooing. For those two nomadic years, he called a small, pimped out, low-riding, metallic blue ice-cream truck home. However since 2001, he has permanently resided in Portland, Oregon and feverishly worked at Oddball Studios. For further growth, he made the transition to Atlas Tattoo, forcing himself into the tiniest corner of the shop. Jacob still finds spiritual enlightenment in dealing small sales of tattoo utensils and his frequent world travels on which he accompanies renowned artists.
